About W Artists
Marie Findley and Josephine Ravenheart head the Artists Division and have nearly 50 years of experience in the
arts and entertainment business between them.
Marie was a television writer for 12 years, specialising in children's tv and comedy - contributing material for Ant & Dec and
Smack The Pony. She later became a film critic, a script reader for the Irish Film Board, and collaborated on numerous Ken Russell
shorts before working in commercials casting, prior to becoming an agent.
Josephine has been an actor, deviser of comedy, choreographer and director for over 20 years - working at the forefront of
innovative site-specific and immersive theatre with pioneering companies like Punchdrunk and Les Enfants Terribles. The inspiration
behind her move to W Artists was to become the agent she always wanted to have!
All actors at W are encouraged to continue training no matter their level of experience
because no artist can ever stop learning. Our actors have a broad range of experience within film, tv, theatre and commercials.
Our roster also includes a prime selection of emerging talent from Britain's drama schools. In addition, and in line with W's
ethos of fitness, health and wellbeing, we represent a number of artists with highly specialised crossover skills in dance,
competitive sports, aerial work & gymnastics, martial arts, fight & stunt experience. In many ways, W Artists can be seen as a
one-stop-shop for any action based film or tv series.
Agents, Marie and Jo, also have a knack for identifying those models lucky enough to be blessed with both acting ability and
good looks, and have successfully guided them to a career on stage and screen. The different skills that agents Marie and Jo have
developed compliment each other perfectly and give them a rare gift for spotting talent, nurturing it and helping their artists
get a foot in the door. As with every division at W - it is all about a family feel: at W Artists, no one gets forgotten. Actors
can expect regular reviews of showreels, head shots, and Spotlight CVs to maximise their potential. And, as live castings become
less common, W Artists have a designated studio space for rehearsing and filming self tapes. Marie and Jo are on hand to read
in and direct - Marie focusing on bringing out the writer's voice and Jo on the actor's individual character choices. This
is a bespoke service - unique to W Artists and indicative of a supportive agency that believes its reputation is king.
